With over 20 years of expertise in the dental field, Dr. Simon Franks is a highly respected clinician and business leader. He holds a BDS with Honors and a Master of Clinical Dentistry with Distinction. Throughout his career, he has practised in, owned, and managed dental clinics across urban, suburban, regional, and remote areas, navigating both Preferred Provider and Independent Practice models. As a lead examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, Dr. Franks has played a pivotal role in advancing dental education and shaping the next generation of dental professionals.
In addition to his clinical and academic contributions, Dr. Franks has spent the last 15 years heavily involved in both dental and general business coaching. As a member of a coaching leadership team he has helped guide a group of 40 businesses to reach $275M in annual revenue and $27M in net profit. He also drove the remarkable growth of his own clinic, Bite Dental, expanding it from a single-provider practice to a thriving multi-dentist, multi-hygienist clinic in the heart of the CBD, achieving a sixfold revenue increase over the past decade-even amid the COVID-19 challenges and economic shifts affecting the CBD.
